Denise Hogan is an Award-Winning Galway-based visual artist and Teacher of Art. Her works are energy-based, exploring the relationship between the physical and the ethereal, the animus and anima, the connection and separation of human beings and their nature.
Denise has exhibited extensively throughout her career and has works hanging in private and public collections both nationally and internationally. She is a regular exhibitor in The Cong Art Gallery in Cong, Co. Mayo, in the West of Ireland.
Below is a selection of her current works ‘This Water is Life’ Series. Influenced by her proximity to the sea, rivers and lakes in Co. Galway, Hogan’s latest series of paintings are an exploration of our relationships with water. In these scenes created entirely from her imagination, the artist asks us to step inside the painting and ask ourselves some tough and beautiful questions about this precious link to life.
